Q: The games don't work, what should I do?
A: The games on Gamenode.com are using the Flash or Shockwave plug-ins. If you don't have the plug-ins installed or if you're using an older version, the games won't work. Try installing the latest versions of the plug-ins by clicking the buttons below and follow the instructions on the screen.
Q: I do have Adobe Flash and Adobe Shockwave installed, but the games still don't work or I get a security warning.
A: Adjust the security settings.
Internet Explorer
- Go to the Tools option on your browser.
- Select Internet Options.
- Then select Security.
- Set the slider for "Security level for this zone" to "medium".
- Click OK.
Q: All games seem to work except the 3D games.
A: Some 3D games use DirectX or OpenGL. If it's not installed, you can download the latest version of DirectX
here.
Q: The games load and work, but are running slowly.
A. Some games need a fast computer. If you have open many browser windows and applications close as many as you can. In some games you can reduce the quality settings by right clicking on the game, click on "quality", then select "low" or "medium".
Often it can help to install the latest video card drivers. Most computers use a video card from
ATI or
nVidia. If you don't know which one you have, please check your computer manual.
Q: I tried everything but the games still don't work. What now?
A: Try clearing the browsers cache.
Internet Explorer
- Go to the Tools option on your browser.
- Select Internet Options.
- Click on the Delete files option under Temporary Internet Files.
- If prompted click OK.
Mozilla Firefox
- Go to the Tools option on your browser.
- Select Options.
- Click on the Cache Tab.
- Click on the Clear Cache Now button.
- If prompted click OK.
