We have some basic rules to keep GameNode clean and make it a nice place for everyone.
The rules:
1. Be nice to each other, don't post anything that is irrelevant, obscene, illegal, hostile or insulting.
2. Don't post things like "First comment", "I'm first", etc. Nobody cares.
3. Don't post messages containing only/lots of smiley's. It's annoying.
4. Don't use only capital letters. Don't shout at people.
4. All comments must be in English.
5. It is not allowed to register multiple accounts, only one account per person is permitted.

You can earn points on GameNode. With more points you will have more voting power and higher status. When you reach a certain amount of points, you will be promoted to a higher rank.
You can earn Points by:
1. Playing a game (1 point)
2. Rating a game (2 point)
3. Posting a comment (5 points)
4. Rating a comment (1 point)
5. Reporting a bad comment (3 points, 1 karma)

Karma is an indicator of good and bad behavior. You start with 25 Karma points. If you misbehave your Karma will drop. If this happens once, don't worry, you Karma will restore automatically. However if you behave really badly, your Karma will drop below 0 and you won't be able to post comments until your Karma is restored.

1. Reporting and rating bad comments.
2. Posting original or insightful comments.
3. Helping other people by answering their questions.
4. Play games regularly.

Q: The games don't work, what should I do?
A: The games on Gamenode.com are using the Flash or Shockwave plug-ins. If you don't have the plug-ins installed or if you're using an older version, the games won't work. Try installing the latest versions of the plug-ins by clicking the buttons below and follow the instructions on the screen.
Q: I do have Adobe Flash and Adobe Shockwave installed, but the games still don't work or I get a security warning.
A: Adjust the security settings.

Q: All games seem to work except the 3D games.
A: Some 3D games use DirectX or OpenGL. If it's not installed, you can download the latest version of DirectX here.
Q: The games load and work, but are running slowly.
A. Some games need a fast computer. If you have open many browser windows and applications close as many as you can. In some games you can reduce the quality settings by right clicking on the game, click on "quality", then select "low" or "medium".
Often it can help to install the latest video card drivers. Most computers use a video card from ATI or nVidia. If you don't know which one you have, please check your computer manual.
Q: I tried everything but the games still don't work. What now?
A: Try clearing the browsers cache.

A: GameNode is designed for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
